Integration and the 'contact us' page
Integration has long been a feature of the Contact Anywhere service. This is typically used by systems integrators or IT departments to share and re-use data and processes between Contact Anywhere and other applications anywhere in the world via a web service interface.
We have used the integration tools to provide a ‘point and click’ feature allowing Contact Anywhere users to create a page which can be included in their web site. The page accepts details and writes them directly into a registration area in the Contact Anywhere service, the details are available in numerous places and typically dashboard panels.
Once in the registration area the user then decides how to act on the new details, which includes importing as a new contact via an import wizard. Optionally an email can be sent to the registrants email address and copied internally.
Better control and timely response to registration is therefore achieved as reliance on monitoring emails generated from ‘contact us’ forms is removed and an audit trail is maintained of all registrations.
